As we all know, Oak is one of the toughest timbers used in the joinery trade. Its durable qualities make it an ideal material for window sills. Not only this, but it is also less prone to scratching that may be caused by the addition of decorative elements; compared to other types of wood.
An Oak window board is a high-quality home investment, sure to pay off in the long run. Its long life span means it will add to the interior value of your home for years to come.

The Brief
A returning JLA customer wanted to transform their window boards from a paint finish to a solid Oak one.
Action Taken
Window sills are often fairly straightforward in terms of manufacturing. After we had cut the oak to size in our workshop, all that was left was the installation in the customers home.
Outcome
Our client’s new addition to their window fitted perfectly! After sealing it to the window and walls, we finished it off with a coat of Osmo oil, which matched the rest of the Oak in the home.
