Oak Staircase West Wittering
The Brief:
The customer asked us to make a staircase that would be created within a large extension they had done on their home. They wanted a showpiece, solid oak stair to connect a large kitchen with the living space above. A piece that would be practical yet beautiful.
Action taken:
The details of the wanted staircase where sorted out by the customer coming to visit us at our workshops to choose certain bespoke components that we could then set about making.
The staircase had to fit a fairly snug space. So as usual, our role of staircase designers came in to play as we provided the customer with the best size stair to legally fit the space we had to work with. Again, keeping the practicality but also making sure the staircase looked great and keeping in line with what the customer wanted.
Outcome:
The finished staircase was coated in clear Osmo oil which really brings out the grain in the oak whilst providing a hard-long lasting protection to the staircase. The customer has a wonderful aesthetically pleasing staircase that will last.
The customer also mentioned a need for some bespoke furniture items in the near future which the team here at JLA are looking forward to crafting.
Absolutely thrilled with the end result. JLA joinery helped me from the beginning to the end. They listened to my requirements and translated this into a unique piece of artwork that I have received many comments on! A special thank you to James who was charming and polite throughout.
