The Brief

This staircase project is a part of a client’s full home renovation. It is the first thing you see when walking through the front door into the entrance hall, so they wanted something that looked the part whilst staying in keeping with the look of their lovely country home. The existing paint and carpet finish were to go and an all-solid oak staircase was to replace it with a powder-coated metal spindle balustrade. This would give the staircase a nice contrast and interest against the timber.

Action taken

After taking accurate site measurements and inviting the clients to our workshops to choose samples and finalise designs we then began manufacture. The high-quality joinery grade European oak from English Woodlands Timber was fantastic as usual, with some really nice grain and colours. This will look amazing once some finished coats of oil are applied!
