The Brief:

It’s wonderful creating front doors for people as this is sometimes the first aspect noticed when looking at a house. It also offers the entrance to the house so having a lovely front door is important. This particular job involved making a new oak front door for the customers, they wanted to replace an existing painted front door and frame with a bespoke solid Oak door and frame. This would give the door a nice modern edge and compliment the home beautifully.

Action taken:

We first talked through designs with the customers, ensuring we reached their expectations perfectly. As always, it’s important to measure the available space correctly, so we sent our team out to do so. We correctly measured the opening we had to work with and once design and measurements had been finalised, we could get back to the workshops to begin manufacture. Our team worked in our workshops to produce the perfect bespoke item for the client, tailored to measure knowing that the fit would be perfect.

Outcome:

The width of the brick opening meant you couldn’t just fill the space with a door on its own, so we incorporated glazed panels “sidelights” either side of the door to really let some nice light through into the entrance hall. This added a wonderful finish to the overall look and feel of the door and of ourse more light helps really create a beautiful opening.

These particular customers chose some very high-end door furniture to complement their lovely new door which we fitted whilst fitting the door and frame, we always complete the fit within one day for obvious security reasons.
