The Brief
We were lucky enough to work on this beautiful harbourside new build project in Bosham, West Sussex on behalf of Harbour Contractors LTD. The stainless-steel stair and landing superstructure were already in place upon our arrival at the site so our job was to clad the majority of the surfaces in beautiful joinery-grade European oak.
Action taken
We initially took several accurate site measurements before heading back to our offices to order timber from our go-to supplier, English Woodlands Timber. Once we got our hands on the oak, we began machining all the components ready to take to the site. This job was unlike many of our projects in the way that we couldn’t make anything up at our workshops, we had to build and fit everything on site.
Outcome
The finished project looked lovely! The mix of wood and steel on show gives warmth but also shows the solid inner workings of the structure in the background. We look forward to working with Harbour Contractors in the future and would highly recommend checking them out if you plan any construction work around the Chichester area.
