Bay windows have remained an extremely popular choice for buildings of all kinds since 1894 when the new Building Act allowed windows to protrude from the wall instead of laying flush. They’re an excellent way to open up an otherwise small room, and can drastically increase the amount of light that enters to create a spacious, open feel.
Bay windows often incorporate sliding sash windows, but can also be installed with casement windows, a direct glazed frame, or even doors in some instances.
