The Brief:

We were very happy to work with a client on an oak and carpet stair with a wonderful idea for interesting spindles. This stair was to be a first for us in regard to the spindles, it was a design that the customer had seen online. We were asked to implement the design and idea onto their new staircase going into the newly refurbished home.

Action taken:

We like to have a system of steps that we always take with clients to involve premium consistency with all of our projects. We start with attending the site to measure the space available for the staircase and landing- this helps to make sure the project in mind fits well within the space provided. It also helps us design and produces the perfect fitting item. We then go back to the workshop to discuss amongst our skilled joinery team and the clients the fine details and go through samples. Once all details had been discussed and samples were chosen, we made the staircase in our workshops and machined all components ready for fitting on site.

The site fitting element of this job was slightly more involved than normal as the stair spindles went from the ground floor right up past the ceiling to the first floor giving continuous spindles. We worked hard to create the perfect finish and ensure the quality was of what we always produce – perfection.

Outcome:

The continuous spindles really set this staircase apart. This was a real showpiece to the home. Also, if this staircase wasn’t bespoke enough with the spindles, the staircase was created to form a beautiful dog bed under the stair! Making the dog real right at home.
